Towson University is located eight miles north of downtown Baltimore, about an hour north of Washington, D.C., and three hours south of New York City. Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is located about 45 minutes south of Towson. Train service is available out of Baltimore鈥檚 Penn Station, 20 minutes south of campus.

On weekends, visitors returning to Penn Station from Towson can take MTA Bus #9 and transfer to either the Light Rail or Bus #3 to reach the station.
