The Counseling Center is available for same-day appointments during regular hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). If you need crisis support after hours, call the same number, 410-704-2512, to speak with a counselor anytime, 24/7. 

If someones safety is at immediate risk, please CALL 911 or contact the Campus Police (410-704-4444) immediately.

What if the Counseling Center Is Closed?

When the Counseling Center is closed, you still have access to emotional help if you need it by using the resources below:

Protocall

Call the 91Ó°ÊÓÆÆ½â°æCC phone number, 410-704-2512, to get connected to a mental health professional who can provide support from 5pm to 8am.

Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT)

MCRT consists of two social workers from the Counseling Center who co-respond with Towson University Police Department (91Ó°ÊÓÆÆ½â°æPD) officers to campus crises. MCRT offers support to callers by working to de-escalate the situation, connecting the individual to resources, and assessing for safety.

The MCRT can be contacted by calling 91Ó°ÊÓÆÆ½â°æPD at 410-704-4444. 91Ó°ÊÓÆÆ½â°æPD will send out the MCRT with an officer if an MCRT member is on shift and available.  Click on this link for more information about MCRT.  

Current hours are: Sunday 12 pm – 8 pm, Monday 12 pm – 8 pm, Tuesday 12 pm – 5 am, Wednesday 12 pm – 5 am, Thursday 9 am – 2 am and Friday 7 pm to 5 am.
