The Department of Learning Technologies, Design and School Library Media鈥檚 innovative academic and research curriculum teaches students how to integrate technology into the curriculum, educational system or workplace to increase learning and productivity. The mission of the program is to:

  • model and promote active, learner-centered digital age teaching and learning approaches in pre-k through higher education learning environments
  • emphasize creating inquiry-based, collaborative, interactive online learning environments and model academically rigorous online courses and programs 
  • provide leadership and support for the enhancement of teaching and learning by focusing on pedagogy, evidence based practices and student success
  • retain and enhance the professional qualifications of students and faculty through developmental opportunities
  • research and evaluate existing and emerging technologies that allows students to integrate pedagogical practices into the workplace
