Baltimore Immigration Summit

June 4th, 2027 | Towson University

This year's theme will be announced at a later date.

Baltimore Immigration Summit

The Baltimore Immigration Summit is a free one-day event that brings together academics, policymakers, service providers, activists, community leaders, and others working with and for immigrants and refugees in our region. Baltimore and its surrounding suburbs represent an area with a growing and diverse immigrant population, and local governments view them as essential to the region's ongoing resurgence.鈥疻e invite you to join us in learning about and celebrating the empowered immigrant communities in our region and discovering new opportunities for collaboration!

Registration opens on TBA.  Due to high demand, filling out this form does not guarantee a spot at the Summit at this time. Attendance or waitlist statuses will be sent by email, and you must confirm your attendance to keep your spot.

2026 Summit Performer

Morely

Morelys Urbano is a Dominican-born poet and multidisciplinary storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of art, identity, and resistance. Rooted in her experiences as an Afro-Latina immigrant, her poetry explores themes of memory, displacement, Blackness, womanhood, and belonging鈥攐ften weaving Spanish and English to reflect the dualities she carries.

She is the author of A Sangre Fr铆a, a bilingual poetry collection that centers emotional vulnerability, cultural pride, and the quiet strength of survival. As a spoken word artist, Urbano has performed at community spaces, universities, and public events, using performance as a way to transform personal narrative into collective reflection.

Her artistic practice extends beyond the page and stage, blending journalism, audio, and visual storytelling to document the lives of marginalized communities. Whether through poetry or multimedia work, Urbano creates pieces that are both intimate and political鈥攇rounded in truth, and driven by a desire to make people feel seen.
