Partner Organizations
The BCAL partners with organizations located within the greater Baltimore area and throughout Maryland. These partner organizations work with the BCAL on community outreach and preservation initiatives to support a holistic and accessible approach to cultural resources in the greater Baltimore area.

Archeological Society of Maryland
The discovers, investigates and conserves important archeological sites and artifacts, and fosters and encourages their utilization in educational activities for the public interest.
Baltimore American Indian Center
The is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1968 with a mission to 鈥渁ssist and support American Indian and Alaskan Native families moving into an urban environment and adjusting to the culture change they will experience.鈥� The BAIC provides a welcoming, safe space for the native community to gather; a place where people are treated with dignity, respect, understanding and where cultural practices are kept alive.
Baltimore County Department of Planning
The implements programs and projects that strengthen existing communities, revitalize older commercial centers and preserve rural resources.
Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks
The provides quality recreational and leisure opportunities to county residents and visitors via its parklands and open spaces, recreation and nature centers, and other specialized facilities.
Baltimore Heritage
works to preserve and promote Baltimore鈥檚 historic buildings and neighborhoods.
Council for Maryland Archeology
The is the organization for professional archeologists working in or interested in all facets of archeology in Maryland. The council was founded in 1976 to foster public awareness, concern and responsibility for the conservation of archeological resources in Maryland.
Friends of Herring Run Parks
The are a community-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, improving and engaging the community with the Herring Run Parks in Northeast Baltimore City.
Historical Society of Baltimore County
The collects, preserves and interprets the rich history of Baltimore County for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.
Lake Roland Nature Council
The works in partnership, as the only approved nature council for Lake Roland (park), with the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks to maintain, preserve and protect the natural environment of the park as well as to maintain, preserve and protect the historic structures, trails and roads in Lake Roland.
Native American Lifelines
The mission of is to promote health and social resiliency within Urban American Indian communities.
Piscataway Conoy Tribe
The works to protect their People's culture, traditions, identity, and interests while building and maintaining relations with businesses and local, state, and federal governments, thereby establishing a government to government relationship.
Pocomoke Indian Nation
The publicly interprets the history, culture and life ways of the Pocomoke Paramountcy through oral presentations, live demonstrations and educational classes on native skills, arts and customs.
