After you have applied for aid, received your Your Award Notification and accepted your aid offers, please carefully review all the requirements below to avoid unexpected aid reductions.

GPA and Earned Unit Requirements

Before withdrawing from classes, please read about drops and withdraws.

Because different aid programs have different requirements, to determine your GPA and/or earned unit requirements, you must first review your current aid programs. Login to your , choose Financials from the main Navigation Menu, then View Financial Aid.

For the 91Ó°ÊÓÆƽâ°æ Institutional Grant and these federal aid programs (Pell, SEOG and TEACH Grants; Subsidized, Unsubsidized, and PLUS Loans, and Federal Work-study funds), please read our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

, see the requirements below.  Many MHEC aid programs also require compliance with 91Ó°ÊÓÆƽâ°æ’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy.

• and recipients must comply with 91Ó°ÊÓÆƽâ°æ's SAP policy, and must also successfully earn a minimum number of units each year.  Please carefully review MHEC's Earned Unit requirements on these  and grant pages.

Reapplication Requirement

All federal aid and most need-based grants do not renew. You must reapply for these programs every year by submitting a new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the 91Ó°ÊÓÆƽâ°æ and MHEC FAFSA Deadlines.

We award our need-based grants based on this annual evaluation of financial need, and we direct our available funds toward students with higher financial need.

Eligibility Requirements

You must continue to meet all the federal Eligibility Requirements to remain eligible for many aid programs including all federal aid, many aid programs and Need-Based Grants (the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant and the 91Ó°ÊÓÆƽâ°æ Institutional Grant).

Minimum Credits

You must take a minimum number of credits each semester to receive each aid program, and must meet financial aid registration deadlines.

It is very important to understand the different ways that dropping and withdrawing from classes will affect your aid.

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Policy

To remain eligible to receive aid, all students are required to make Satisfactory Academic Progress toward the completion of their degrees. All students are required to read and comply with this policy to remain eligible for aid.
