  • Find the most up to date information on health and safety recommendations for travelers including but not limited to recommended vaccinations and frequently updated information on destinations.

  • Have you ever considered yourself to be a minority or feel that you have concerns that specific to your unique identity? This resource extends to students of color, heritage seekers, women and the LGBTQ+ community abroad, students with physical or mental disabilities, keeping connected to your religion in a new environment, the economically disadvantaged, and students who may not identify with the "traditional" age of U.S. college students. 

  • PLATO support students who study abroad. Their page specifically for underrepresented students offers some excellent resources and scholarship information.

  • GoAbroad has tons of articles on all things study abroad. From diversity issues to health & safety, money tips to travel apps, if it's related to study abroad, there is a good chance you will find at least one article related it here.  

  • If you鈥檙e looking for alternative ways to raise funds for your study abroad experience, start with Fund My Travel. Build a campaign and share it through your social media in order to raise awareness and funds for your experience.

    When researching your destination it鈥檚 important to think about currency and the cost of your time abroad. You can review current and past exchange rates for any currency.

  • Your resource for reading more about your destination and other countries you are interested in visiting during your time abroad. Includes links to various national and international news sites.

  • Here you can find information on applying for or renewing your U.S. passport, the Safe Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), as well as country-specific visa information, travel advisories and more. They even have a section specifically for U.S. students abroad.

  • You can use Student Universe to search for flights worldwide and benefit from discounts as a university student.
