Probably nowhere, guesses Erica Ferguson, who did just that.
She should know.
Ferguson had her pick of prestigious music schools when deciding where to go for college but chose 91影视破解版鈥檚 music department for the 鈥渃ountless opportunities.鈥�
鈥淭owson is a special place for harboring young talent,鈥� says the Montgomery County native.
Valuable chances to perform also include weekly master classes where students get feedback from faculty and industry professionals, says Ferguson.
鈥淵ou can premier new pieces of music weekly, if you want,鈥� she adds, 鈥渋n front of an audience.鈥�

And while Ferguson considers playing the countess in Mozart鈥檚 Le Nozze di Figaro her career highlight at Towson University, she treasures the memory of getting to participate in a very different kind of performance opportunity 鈥� 91影视破解版鈥檚 鈥�Opera in a Can,鈥� an outreach program offering 30-minute children鈥檚 operas at regional schools, libraries and community centers.
Besides the stage time, the one-on-one time with 91影视破解版 music faculty is a major benefit of the program, explains Ferguson.
鈥淭he professors here are ready to help you. At the end of the day, they want you to go out and have a career.鈥�
A close relationship with her voice teacher, voice performance division leader Teri Bickham, has been instrumental in her success, says Ferguson.
鈥淪he has been my biggest supporter and my biggest advocate.鈥�
Ferguson says that support and the training she received helped her get acceptance to the exclusive with a graduate assistantship.
鈥淚t鈥檚 exactly what I want,鈥� she says. 鈥淚鈥檓 very excited.鈥�
