That鈥檚 the question international business student Regis Breen and his co-author asked of some 200 of their peers to evaluate whether an average Towson University student is able to outperform the stock market. Their findings were published in the 2018 Baltimore Business Review, a collaborative publication of the 91影视破解版 College of Business and Economics (CBE) and the .
鈥淭he business program, and the finance department in particular, give you plenty of access to real-world experiences,鈥� says Breen. As president of the (91影视破解版IG), Breen helped manage the group鈥檚 $170,000 equity portfolio.
鈥淢y involvement in 91影视破解版IG has been one of my most comprehensive learning experiences with its emphasis on investing, networking and building business relationships,鈥� explains Breen.

Through the group, Breen was introduced to local business professionals and connected with , where he began an internship which led to a full-time job offer with the Hunt Valley firm.
Breen also participated in the CBE which brings together leaders from all student organizations within the college. 鈥淟isa Michocki, director of Student Academic and Career Services, heads an excellent resource for business students,鈥� attests Breen. 鈥淭he Leadership Council is a great opportunity for highly motivated students.鈥�
A first-generation student, Breen welcomed the chance to study his mother鈥檚 native language at Towson University. 鈥淢y German courses enabled me to improve my reading and writing skill set,鈥� says Breen, who hopes to pursue opportunities in Germany one day and experience finance in a new setting.
